Apprenticeships for the Private Sector
JGA offers perhaps the broadest range of apprenticeships designed for commercial functions. These include standards for which it can be difficult to find a supplier. We work hard to be a reliable single source of inspirational training.
It works. Achievement rates are well above the national average and nearly two-thirds of completions are graded distinction!
We are a Queen’s Award-winning training provider, priding ourselves on our high-quality and inclusive programmes. Organisations choose us because our coaches and tutors are not just teachers; they are industry professionals with current, extensive experience—experience which they regularly draw upon to support, challenge and benefit apprentices.
Employers often start working with JGA on a single standard. As confidence grows and opportunities arise, more than 100 have now moved on to utilise additional standards—six different standards for one employer is the current record!
Delivery Model
JGA’s approach is for a regular full-day or half-day seminars delivered live online to small groups, supplemented by round tables, expert coaching and pastoral support. Our team are skilled professionals in their fields who often continue to work within their specialism.
We work closely with line managers to plan and organise in-work aspects of apprenticeships to ensure high impact high.
What Does it Cost and How Can I Order?
For large organisations (with a pay bill of over £3 million) – apprenticeship training can be fully funded by the Apprenticeship Levy.
For smaller organisations:
- The Government funds 95% of the training cost. (This amounts to £10,450 for the PR & Communications apprenticeship, for example).
- 100% of the costs can be Government funded if your organisation has fewer than 50 employees and you are hiring a 16-18 year old apprentice. (This amounts to £11,000 Government funding for the PR & Communications apprenticeship, for example).

What People Say About Us
Ofsted rates The JGA Group as a good provider. In July 2023 100% of apprentices told us that seminars were excellent or good.
Doing this apprenticeship has allowed me to begin my career in marketing. I’m now qualified and have no student loans to repay and so much valuable experience that you just cannot learn in a classroom. And I’m now working on the agency’s biggest blue chip client! The breadth of knowledge I gained on the course grew my confidence massively and allowed me to prove to not only my company, but also to myself, that I was capable of the responsibility to look after such a major client.
It has not been hard to recognise the significant improvements in my work since starting my Sales Exec Level 4 Apprenticeship with JGA. I am more measured and strategic in my approach, my sales conversations are more meaningful and my prospect conversion rate is the highest it has ever been. I have enjoyed the challenge of studying the theory of sales, and implementing the more practical elements, day-to-day. As a mature learner, the online delivery allows me to study flexibly, whilst my sales coach and tutor have been supportive at every step of my journey so far.
Since starting the apprenticeship last year, I have massively developed within my role and improved my practical skills when collating a bid. The apprenticeship has enabled me to introduce new tools and resources to my team to improve our processes and ensure we are bidding to best practice.
