Sales Executive Apprenticeship Level 4

Duration: 15 months

The sales apprenticeship was created by major employers and the Institute of Sales Professionals. It is an accredited learning and development programme designed to develop salespeople who sell products or services in Business-to-Business or Business-to-Consumer markets, responsible for approaching prospective customers to generate new business, or contacting active customers to grow existing accounts.

The programme is suitable for salespeople working in all sectors and markets, including technology, media, finance, fast-moving commercial goods, travel and pharmaceutical sales. Typical roles for the apprenticeship include Sales Advisor, Sales Consultant, Field Sales Executive, Outbound Telesales Executive, Business Development Manager and Account Manager.

It is designed for school leavers, graduates and experienced but under-invested ‘short chain’ sales teams. The sales apprenticeship also leads to an internationally recognised Level 4 qualification from the Institute of Sales Professionals.

We are a National Skills Academy of Food & Drink (NSAFD) approved training provider.

“It has not been hard to recognise the significant improvements in my work since starting my Sales Exec Level 4 Apprenticeship with JGA. I am more measured and strategic in my approach, my sales conversations are more meaningful and my prospect conversion rate is the highest it has ever been. I have enjoyed the challenge of studying the theory of sales, and implementing the more practical elements, day-to-day. As a mature learner, the online delivery allows me to study flexibly, whilst my sales coach and tutor have been supportive at every step of my journey so far.”

Peter Hill, Britvic

Transforming Britvic’s Field Sales Performance

In October 2019, Peter Hill, the Head of Britvic Field Sales (Licensed Free Trade), took the strategic decision to employ outsourced management for a new field sales team for the London Essence premium mixer drinks range, and to put in place a structured learning programme. The idea was to use the Sales Executive apprenticeship to guarantee future sales representatives have a good basic skill set and achieve consistent levels of business winning knowledge and competence.
