The role works across different business teams to bring together compelling, customer focused proposals and tender submissions to win business.

“…much appreciated – Its great to put our team through your apprenticeship course – its very good!!” Line Manager

We were delighted to be the first provider of this apprenticeship and we remain the best! Our official achievement rate in 22/23 (released April 24) was 75%, 9% better than the average of our competitors.

The apprenticeship has seen particularly strong take-up by engineering, construction, business & professional services, education, transport & logistics and increasingly the software and hardware sectors.

Bidding is a role which is rapidly professionalising and looking to become a deliberate career choice. It is a young profession and the apprenticeship remains the only (and of course best) opportunity for long term structured training.

Key learning themes include: Context of Bidding, Bid and Proposal Process, Proposal Development, Knowledge Management, Roles and Responsibilities of the Bid Team.

The focus on skills and behaviours embraces organisation and planning, writing and editorial, comms, customer focus, team working and relationship building.

“The apprenticeship programme has provided me with the experiences and skills relevant to working in the world of Bid Management. The support from my employer and The JGA Group has benefitted me both personally and professionally. My apprenticeship has shaped me into the professional that I am today, and I will be forever grateful for these experiences for many years to come.”

Ryan Wilkes | Bid Management Coordinator for Kuehne+Nagel (Ryan was later promoted and posted to Australia by KN)

On successful completion of the apprenticeship, alumni are eligible for membership of the Association of Bid and Proposal Management Professionals (APMP).
