Bid & Proposal Coordinator Apprenticeship

Level 3 | Duration: 15 months

Bid teams need winners. We train winners! Former JGA apprentices have gone on to APMP UK awards for Best Newcomer, Writing Excellence and Collaborative Teamwork.

The bid and proposal coordinator apprenticeship supports career development into (and within) bidding. It is work-based learning, designed to support the achievement of professional ‘competence.’ The programme focuses on knowledge and just as importantly, the skills and behaviours necessary for successful bid co-ordination.

The apprenticeship has seen particularly strong uptake in engineering, construction, business and professional services, education, transport and logistics and increasingly in the software and hardware sectors.

Bidding is a role that is rapidly professionalising and evolving into a deliberate career choice. It is a young profession and an apprenticeship remains the best choice for long-term, structured training.

The focus on skills and behaviours embraces organisation and planning, writing and editorial, comms, customer focus, team working and relationship building.

On successful completion of the apprenticeship, alumni are eligible for membership of the Association of Bid and Proposal Management Professionals (APMP).
