Bid & Proposal Co-ordinator Apprenticeship Level 3

Duration: 15 months

Bid and proposal coordinators work within bid teams or sales/business development teams and help maximise the probability of the organisation winning bids, tenders and other applications. The role works across different business teams to bring together compelling, customer-focused proposals and tender submissions to win business.

We were delighted to be the first provider of this apprenticeship, and we remain the best! Our official achievement rate in 2022/2023 (released April 2024) was 75%, 9% better than the average of our competitors.

The apprenticeship has seen particularly strong uptake in engineering, construction, business and professional services, education, transport and logistics and increasingly in the software and hardware sectors.

“The apprenticeship programme has provided me with the experiences and skills relevant to working in the world of Bid Management. The support from my employer and The JGA Group has benefitted me both personally and professionally. My apprenticeship has shaped me into the professional that I am today, and I will be forever grateful for these experiences for many years to come.”

Ryan Wilkes, Bid Management Coordinator for Kuehne+Nagel (Ryan was later promoted and posted to Australia by KN)

Bidding is a role that is rapidly professionalising and evolving into a deliberate career choice. It is a young profession and an apprenticeship remains the only (and, of course, the best) opportunity for long-term, structured training.
