Completing your apprenticeship
Gateway to completion
Once you’ve completed your on programme training you will go through gateway to completion. This is where we agree with you and your line manager that you have acquired the knowledge, skills and behaviours set out in the apprenticeship standard and are ready to undertake your final assessment.
Apprenticeship assessment
Apprenticeship assessment is the process for you to demonstrate that you have acquired the knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSB’s) set out in the apprenticeship standard.
The assessment will be carried out by an impartial Assessment Organisation, which takes responsibility for the assessment of the apprentice against the requirements of their standard.
For apprentices who started their course from November 2026, your employer is responsible for confirming you have demonstrated the behaviours set out in the apprenticeship standard.
Your assessment
The assessment methods for this course have recently changed.
Learners who started before November 2026 will complete an End Point Assessment with two methods
- Project or campaign evaluation report, presentation of additional/new content and questions
A report that evaluates a project or campaign the apprentice contributed to and a presentation of additional/new content. Followed by questions on the report and presentation. - Professional Discussion
A 60 minute structured discussion with the independent assessor centred around a portfolio of evidence
