#AppetiteForApprenticeships 🍣

#ParkRoyal is a European centre for food production and the Park Royal Business Group organised a food focused forum kindly hosted by the Japan Centre (makers of yummy Japanese specialities)! An inspiring and emotional talk from Andrew Brammer of Kerry Foods discussed the benefits Kerry has found from diversifying their employee base in the Park Royal factory, specifically employees on the #autisticspectrum. Alexandros Parakevas of the West London Innovation Lab discussed subsidised innovation and Mark Nisbett of RSM told us how to claim the tax credits to pay for it!

Richard Goodwin of JGA outlined why food and drink industry clients such as BRITVIC PLCThatchers Cider Company Ltd and AB Mauri, a global business of Associated British Foods plc are using #Apprenticeships to train their #SalesTeams. His focus was on:

  • Apprenticeships as professional quality training
  • Focused on sales and marketing related roles
  • Apprenticeships in general now cover a wide range of roles
  • Apprenticeships are often higher level and can be used for graduates
