Live Events Spectator Safety Supervisor Level 3 Bootcamp

Duration: 16 weeks

What does this qualification cover?

This qualification provides learners with a comprehensive understanding of the knowledge and skills required to work as a Steward Supervisor.

Who is it suitable for?

This qualification is aimed at learners who are currently working in, or aspiring to work in, supervisory roles within events and crowd control, including stadiums, festivals, racecourses, arenas, or any other environments involving crowd management. All supervisors working in a stadium must have a Level 3 in Spectator Safety Supervision (4.11 Green Guide Version 6).

Course content

Learners will cover topics such as:

  • Preparing stewards and venues for spectator events
  • Monitoring and solving customer service problems
  • Developing and sustaining productive working relationships with stakeholders
  • Managing information for action and decision-making
  • Managing and maintaining stewarding in designated areas

Progression routes

Learners who achieve the Level 3 Certificate can progress to the Level 4 Certificate in Spectator Safety to become a Safety Officer.

Delivery

The course is delivered over 16 weeks with workshops held in person at Leyton Orient FC along with additional live and online activities via Teams.

Attendance of these sessions is mandatory.

Eligibility

This course is free for individuals who meet certain eligibility criteria. To qualify for funding, you must

  • Be aged 19 or over on 31st August 2026
  • Live in London
  • Have the right to work in the UK and residency status. Student Visas, sponsorship visas or skilled worker visas do not qualify

Learners must be willing to work as a Supervisor for a minimum of 16 hours per week (can be across different agencies) and provide 3 months’ evidence of this.

While as Event Manager at FGH, he decided to pursue a Level 3 qualification in Spectator Safety to advance his career.
