Creatively Developing Futures in Hounslow
Helping Hounslow residents into jobs and education in the screen (film and tv) sector
The project aims to help people living in Hounslow to access employment support and training and find work in the creative industries, specifically the screen sector. Also, to support people already working in creative businesses in the Hounslow Creative Enterprise Zone to gain skills to enable them to progress further in their careers and to help grow the businesses they work within.
Alongside training in specific job skills, participants are supported with barriers to work such as confidence, lack of recent experience, basic skills, job seeking skills or other related barriers such as debt or transport difficulties.
Learners will also complete a 40 hours work placement. Employers will receive training to promote inclusive recruitment and working practices.
Each participant will have a mentor who will mentor them through the programme and on until a sustained job outcome is reached.
Within 4 weeks of finishing training the participants will move into job roles, improve their prospects in their existing role or start further/higher education connected to the film and tv sector.
The courses are delivered in partnership with a range of fantastic organisations with creative sector specialisms.
