Apprentices Networking Like Crazy

It is all go at the moment at Television House. Sandy and Tina are growing our new Healthy Futures project and Beata, Loveleen and Ryan and networking their socks off. If there’s an event then you can guarantee that we’ll be at it!

Last night Biddy and Loveleen attended the Mayor of Hillingdon’s Charity Gala event. The event was superb as was the company. Les Drussel (known by many as Mr Ruislip Manor) was absolutely a star, assisting in identifying the seating arrangements for the guests and providing us with the guest list.

Loveleen (an Apprentice herself), developed confidence conversing and networking. We were pleased to meet Zara and Adelle from Tinies, Neil Sherry, Kingston Smith, Metrobank and Wealdstone FC. Loveleen, presented herself professionally and managed Tinies expectations about Apprentice recruitment.

What is great is that many of the skills work Loveleen is demonstrating will count towards her Business & Professional Administration Apprenticeship (Unit 21 Developing Stakeholder Relationships). The event enabled Biddy to further personalise Loveleen’s training programme to include scoping potential networks and the approach to engaging in networking and initiating and developing relationships.

Earlier Beata was crazy busy networking at West London Futures. She ran out of business cards and brought back at least 50. She engaged the West London Company of the Year, The Polish Bakery and revealed that both she and they have been in the UK for so long that they found it easier to talk business in English than Polish!

And then today we were visited  by Wendy of the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce.

And this is less than two days worth of activity.

As I said, it’s all go at the moment, phew!
