ESOL, reading and writing and maths - exclusive to the care sector

What is it?

Skill Right offers free courses in speaking, listening, reading and writing English, for those working in health and social care for whom English is not their first language.

Employees will improve their:

Free training is also available to native English speakers who would like to improve their reading and writing skills, or their maths

Who is it for?

The training available on Skill Right is aimed at health and social care employees. Courses are contextualised to the working environment, and include exercises and scenarios common to health and social care employees.

Employees must be legally resident in the UK and employed by a London-based health and social care provider with less than 250 staff.

What is on offer?

Successful, employees will receive a nationally-recognised qualification from City & Guilds.

Employees also have the option of continuing their study at a higher level, or moving on to take an NVQ in Health and Social Care under Care to Qualify or Train to Gain.

Note: The 3 year residency rule does not apply to this contract.

How does it work?

Your employees will be encouraged to progress quickly as they have the opportunity to continue the course and study at a higher level free of charge.

Courses are held at JGA's training venue in Eastcote, West London, and in other locations across the capital.

This training is free for anyone who is legally living in the UK and is employed by a London-based health and social care provider with less than 250 staff.
