What is an apprenticeship?

Apprenticeships are a Government funded scheme designed to raise the skills of UK workers.

Apprentices are normal employees but the employer commits to providing on the job and off the job training – JGA also provides guidance (to apprentice and employer) and training which includes masterclasses and the Excellence series of visits. Recent Excellence visits have included London’s world beating Brompton Bicycles, global success the Behavioural Insights Team and the rapidly growing Trussell Trust.

Apprenticeships are no longer restricted by age. They are a great way to reduce the cost of training employees in vocational skills.
